Causes of the acidity can be improper functioning of the digestive system, keeping the stomach empty for long time, eating too fried or fatty foods. Sometimes pregnancy, obesity and alcohol consumption can also lead to acidity. Today lifestyle of the people is also changed where there is an improper eating habits which are accompanied by lack of exercise. These factors can also lead to the acidity. Following are some of the tips which can help you to avoid the condition of acidity:
Have an apple half an hour before the meals. This will maintain the Ph of the body and you will not feel acidic after having meals.
Don't kip your meals. Skipping your meals can also lead to the acidity as the stomach acid release at its time and if no food will be there then it can cause discomfort in the body.
Coconut water balances the Ph of the body. So take coconut water daily in your diet to avoid the acidity.
Take light foods at night. This will not make a burden on stomach and you will not feel acidic at night.
Avoid spicy foods as the spices can be the chemical irritant and can cause acidity. Avoid pickles, chutneys and vinegar.
Drink water as this will keep you hydrated and will also help in the digestion of the food.

Avoid stress because stress can also be a cause of acidity. Start exercising because exercise is the best way to reduce the stress. You can start with a simple walk or can also practice yoga and meditation.
