Dear Dr Joseph -My mother, aged 77, had an aortic type A dissection 6.5 years back, A graft was done at Cherian Lifeline and she recovered,In Apr 2015, there was a recurrent dissection, and this time it had proceeded to the descending aorta all the way down, Since then, she is being medically managed through BP medications.Recently, she has been having recurring chest pains. The CT aortagram shows a false lumen at proximal aorta of 6 cm. As this is considered very high, Dr KM Cherian recommended that I meet you and present her case so that you can explore if you could do something for her.I had been reviewing the work you had done, including some detailed live videos of similar operations you have done, and it is really impressive.I am from Chennai, and will be glad to travel to Vellore and present all details and meet you.I am very keen that whatever best can be done for her is done.
