Dr. Pallavi Rajbongshi Goswami is working in Mayom Hospital, Gurgaon as an Ophthalmologist. She did a three years residency programme from Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Guwahati, Assam, India. Regional Institute of Ophthalmology (RIO) is a tertiary care referral hospital that caters to patients from all over north-eastern India. RIO is a premier postgraduate center for medical research and training in north-eastern India. This institute is under control of Gauhati University.

She did three years junior residency in Ophthalmology from this institute that led on to the degree of M.S. (Master of Surgery). Her duties in junior residency included patient care and management, outpatient and inpatient duties, assisting at various operations and operating independently as well as under supervision. I obtained very good exposure in managing ophthalmological emergencies including trauma management. She also took active part in clinical research and intensive departmental teaching programme, which included seminars, symposium, journal club, bedside case discussion, and grand rounds.
She had done observership in cornea and anterior segment from Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, New Delhi, India. During that period she got the chance of gaining experience on diagnosis and management of various corneal diseases and in keratoplasty and Lasik.
