" Dr. S. Vijayakumar is a money minded fraudulent psychiatrist. When my original diagnosis as a student in the USA was Paranoid Schizophrenia and when I consulted Dr. S. Vijayakumar in Chennai he put me down for depression and prescribed a slew of medications for depression with insufficient dosage of anti- psychotics -which is what my condition really warranted. He kept me dependent on daily consultations for a year, and since my schizophrenia was not treated I had to see him every day in the hope of finding relief and he charged a fat sum of money for daily consultations. I went back to the USA taking his inappropriate medications and suffered from psychotic symptoms which were untreated by the insufficient anti psychotics that he had prescribed. Ultimately I had to return to India unable to bear my psychotic condition.When I asked him if my condition was schizophrenia he said that " we don't like to use big names". To summarize, he has the knack of not treating your condition with sufficient relevant medications so that you will continue to see him daily so that he can milk you off consultation fees.After my second return from the USA I consulted another reputed psychiatrist in Chennai who put me on a high antipsychotic dose which brought me relief from my agony and on the strength of this new dosage I went on to complete my PHD in the USASo, please think twice before seeing Dr. S.
