" I went there for internship. There were already 12 to 13 student. They don’t let you observe a whole day and sessions. Internship was not at all worth the money. I paid it before because they didn’t tell me about this so I stayed that there for some hours and I realise that it is not something worth it. " Incompetent and greedy doctor.My mother was suffering from vascular/ frontal dementia but they diagnosed it as depression and gave wrong medicine. They could not diagnose on the basis of the symptoms. I asked the Doctor Sonali Bali if she could be suffering from vascular/ frontal dementia and she asked my mother what she had eaten in the morning which my mother answered correctly.( Memory loss is a symptom of Alzheimer dementia and not of vascular/ frontal dementia, which any psychiatrist should know)They also gave my mother electric shocks which is for depression which does not get treated with medicines and not for dementia. This was another way of making money irrespective of concern for getting the patient better.Her only aim is to keep the wards filled in Vimhans hospital. " It is a psychiatrist’s duty to make the patient feel comfortable enough for them to share their problems freely with the doctor. Within 5 minutes of meeting her, she confirmed i had ADHD. While i was telling her my problems, on multiple occasions she interrupted me by getting distracted by someone else’s sheet, or picking up someone’s call while i was speaking and then uninterestedly asking me to continue. Her prescription had punctuation and spelling mistakes , she asked me to research about ADHD types and medication myself at home instead of explaining it to me and after 25 minutes wrapped up the session in a hurry saying she has other patients to attend to so book another appointment. I gathered the courage to visit a psychiatrist after 3 years which I explicitly told her but she made me feel very unwelcomed, cold and transactional. I wouldn’t recommend her to anyone expecting a warm and understanding first meeting with a psychiatrist. Her instructions at the end were very unclear too. Will never go to her again.
