" This "doctor" denied care to my 61 year old mother because we didn't get a surgery under his care. My parents lived in Mumbai in 2019 and had come to Kolkata to meet our relatives. We went for a second opinion (which we made very clear to him at our appointment) for a ureter reconstruction surgery. Finally we got the surgery in Mumbai because both my sisters worked there, so it was easier with after care. However now my Dad has retired and my parents have moved to Kolkata in Jan 2022. In order to find a local urologist they went back to Dr. Choudhury.. After making them wait for hours, he finally saw them and he literally said he wont see her because he remembered her file and denied care as she got a surgery in a different part of the country. He was outright rude and literally threw them out of his office and refunded the money.. If this is how doctors behave, they need to quit being in an industry that is supposed to be patient facing, provides medical care and being compassionate..
